ACNE

What does acne look like?
Acne comes in a variety of forms, but the most common are whiteheads or blackheads, also known as comedonal acne. Whiteheads and blackheads are pores that are filled with excessive oil and dead skin cells. As inflammation ensues, larger lesions such as pustules, nodules or cysts may develop which can be very painful and lead to scarring if left untreated.

What causes it?
You may take extremely good care of yourself and your skin, yet still suffer from bothersome breakouts. There is still debate among physicians regarding all the factors that contribute to acne, some which are too complicated for you to address on your own. However, we do know contributing factors include excess oil production, irregular desquamation of cells, inflammation caused by varying issues including hormonal changes, and the presence of P-Acne bacteria.
