Q&A with Dr. Ray: Sofwave or Morpheus8?

“I’m looking to tighten my skin, boost collagen, and smooth fine lines but I’m not sure if Sofwave™ or Morpheus8 is right for me; how do I know which will give me the best result?”

“Both Sofwave and Morpheus8 are treatments that will give you the result you’re looking for. Morpheus typically takes three treatments to give you the same outcome that you’d get with a single Sofwave treatment, so in terms of convenience and your time, you may prefer Sofwave.

The nice thing about Morpheus is that it creates tiny channels in your skin that we can then apply product to. Applying growth factors, exosomes, or PRP — one of my favourites — means these products can go through the little channels down into the deep dermis. We can’t do this with Sofwave.

However, they’re both great treatments and, if you want a more comfortable treatment that doesn’t have any downtime and you only have time for one session, Sofwave is certainly the treatment for you. If we determine in your consultation that you have a little more need to get some rejuvenation products into your skin, then Morpheus8 would be the way to go.”

Morpheus8: Combines microneedling + radiofrequency to deliver energy to different depths of the skin. Typically requires three sessions and allows for enhanced results when combined PRP, exosomes, or growth factors. Optimal results are typically seen approximately six months after treatment.
